Our classes go as follows:
When you begin, you start in Elementary and Starters. There are normally about
250 dogs entered to these classes at an average sized show. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
will win owner/handler and dog out of Elementary and the dog is now
entered in:
Starters and Novice. A win at this level (Anything up to 800 dogs are entered in
Novice classes) will win owner handler and dog out of Starters. The dog is now
entered in Novice and Intermediate. All future dogs owned or handled by this
owner and/or handler will begin at this level.
Two Novice wins, one of which must be agility (as opposed to jumping classes
which do not have contact equipment in - ALL of our classes have weaves) will
win the dog into Senior.
If there are 450 in a class, very often the places will go to 45th - the top 10%
is standard, although there is some variation.
Our biggest show is, I think, the "Dogs In Need" show which is fast
approaching, there will be 11 rings up there for a whole week's competition!!
Good fun!
