Buddy CD U-CD FDCH NA CGC TDI

I am "Julie".  I am the cute Golden Retriever on the left in the picture. David Bull, my human friend, said I could write a story about Buddy.  Buddy left us in March while we were letting David throw us some tennis balls.  I was almost 2, but Buddy was older and a lot smarter.  By the time he was my age, he was living at his fourth home.  He never said what the problem was at his other places, but he always told me that David was the easiest human he had ever trained.  Buddy taught me neat stuff like "Are you ready for some football?" and "Do you want to rent a movie?" really mean that we get to sit on the couch and share a bowl of popcorn.  He also taught me a lot of very important things, but I will only list the 4 most important.

1. When a horse and rider go past the front fence, only bark at the horse. The rider could be a friend someday.
2. Being a Good Watchdog means that you should always know where the tennis balls are just in case a stranger comes over to play.
3. Playing tug-o-war is more important than winning tug-o-war.
4. Although some humans don't know it, all of them need to be petted and played with.

Buddy was a Novice Agility Dog, a Therapy Dog, a Flyball Champion, a CD and
something else.  But mainly he was a good friend and playmate.  David & Marla dug a hole under the big oak trees in the back yard and put him in it. I bet those squirrels are just driving him crazy.
