ADCH Heelalong Cobblestone, UD, AX, AXJ.

November 1987 - November 1999

Cobb was a big red and white border collie with yellow eyes and a gentle face. Cobb adored babies, and puppies, and the elderly and the damaged, and he always did the best he could whatever I asked him to do.

Cobb competed in obedience and went smoothly from his CD to his UD with many high placements.

Cobb had a good turn of speed, and he ran very successfully at the old USDAA height of 30 inches, where he gained his ADCH title.  He found the AKC program almost too easy, and  knocked a lot of those "short" jumps down along the way.  But he got his AX and his AXJ.

Cobb struggled with epilepsy all his life; it was a nightmare of juggling drug doses to try and keep the seizures under control without Cobb becoming too tranquillized.  It was a battle we knew we would loose.

When it was discovered that Cobb was epileptic, neither sire nor his dam were bred again, and it was strongly recommended that his brothers and sisters not be bred.

Run fast, run clean and run free Cobb - it was an honor to have been your partner for all the good years we had.
