is currently trialing in TDAA and lives in Bonney Lake, WA, 20 minutes east of Tacoma. She is the dam of Top Ten CH Kandiland's Ferrero Rocher "Rascal", who is coowned and handled by Gary Stiles
PHA. Lina is 7 years old, born Oct 1997, out of a Hurd's bitch bred to my Dilly. She has 5 points in Conformation as well, but her mouth is not a pretty sight. Just out of alignment, not overshot or undershot. She's had BOW from a Working Dog judge who loved her - but nobody who cares about bites is going to put her up, so I haven't shown her in Conformation in a long time. With what is in the ring right now in Smoothes, she's win in a flash if I picked my judges carefully. But entry and class money is at a premium. Most of my training is done at our WA State Dog Obed. Training Club practice sessions, $5 for two hours per person, for however many dogs you can handle. She's only been in the one TDAA trial, no others of any registry. Susan said at class that she wouldn't trial her for a while yet. So I will hold off on the AKC and NADAC that are coming up over the next few months. But I will go ahead and try another TDAA when one comes along - nothing scheduled in our area soon. She's done very well for herself, facing up to challenges of her own! At a UKC trial she had a Pembroke Corgi nosing her on the Stays - but she held her ground, didn't move a muscle! And her Canadian weekend, she was Staying next to a huge Newfie all weekend except the first one of course which was the Chi Specialty. Now I have a son of hers available who should be great at following in her footsteps. He's a beautiful boy who will be bigger, like her, she's about 5-1/2 pounds, but he has a horrendous bite so needs to be neutered. I'm hoping to find someone who will train him for performance events, in the meantime he will be staying here. What the heck, I need a new Novice dog (yyeah, RIGHT). Herc is in training for AKC CD, Hunk will be entered UKC at the end of January, new puppies coming up for Conformation -- besides working with Lina, the joy of my life right now! Yeah I know, when do I sleep? Whenever I can snatch a nap, that's when! LOL! Helene Bensen
