Miclanjo Mouse That Roared CD, CDX, NA.

November 23, 1990 - September 27, 2005
I am writing this with a very heavy heart tonight. Today I helped my dear sweet Mouse cross over the bridge. He took the message to his grandma and Bonkers that I miss them very much. He would have been 15 in November and was bred by Carolyn Mooney. I thank the day I found her and she let me have him, a total novice to the world of show dogs.
For those that never had the pleasure of meeting Mouse, he was my introduction to the world of showing Chihuahuas. He never made it to conformation, except once as a veteran because I had promised him. But he was a wonderful little dog and a GREAT Ambassador for the breed. He did teach me about handling and He pulled a wagon for rescue and collected almost $1,000 during his lifetime, all donated to rescue. The year the Nationals were in MD he pulled it in the ring, under Dorthoy Nichols command of take him up and back!! He did this, and promptly stopped and baited to the judge when he got back to her, with his wagon hitched up. He was a great therapy dog and pulled his wagon in many, many parades decorated to whatever theme the parade was for. He was on T.V. several times, once with a Bernese Mt. Dog where they pulled wagons to collect food for flood victims. Mouse had his wagon full of baby food!!! He participated actively in 4H groups and went to school every year for a presentation on pet care with my daughter. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. He did anything he could for a laugh, even while competing in obedience. He received his CD, CDX, and his NA titles as well as was a Canine Good Citizen and a registered therapy dog. He had 2 legs on both his ASCA CD and his Canadian CD. We never got back to Canada to finish that one and by the time we did ASCA he was getting arthritic so I stopped before he could get excused for limping. He had his picture taken with Ripley when he got a first place and his finishing leg on his NA and Ripley got a first in Group that day. They both had big blue rossettes!!! He finished is CDX in Chicago at the Nationals. He was a good friend and I will miss him a lot. Good bye, Miclanjo Mouse That Roared CD, CDX, NA.
