February 18, 1994 - October 1, 2004
Dear friends and admirers of Teegan,
Today is a dark day. Our days will never again be as bright as they have
been for the last 10+ years. Teegan, our precious Teegan, is gone from
this life, but not from our hearts or the hearts of her many friends and
admirers - that could never happen. Words cannot express our sorrow and
our overwhelming sense of loss.
Teegan was truly an inspiration to all who ever met her. As the original
"Dobie-Rocket", Teegan proved that a great dog could get out there and
compete with other great dogs regardless of breed. As a result, Teegan
inspired many others to go out and try. The happiness and joy that Teegan
personified, both in and out of the ring, showed everyone that it was the
relationship between teammates that really counted.
Teegan's speed, grace, and athleticism impressed everyone who ever saw her
compete; however, the things everyone remembered most were the sparkle in her
eye, her smile, and the pure joy and enthusiasm that emanated from her as she
ran with her daddy!
Teegan embraced life to its fullest. She never met anyone (2 or 4-legged)
she didn't expect to be a friend. She took everything that life handed out
(including her nearly 2 1/2 year struggle with osteosarcoma) with a fullness of
love and spirit that was a joy to behold. She had more guts and heart than
anyone I have ever met - she was truly "special" and deserved to live
and run agility forever!
We've had Dobermans for 32 years, and we've dearly loved each and every one of
our kids, but Teegan's passing is almost more than we can bear. She
literally changed our lives more than any event in the 37+ years that Eleanor
and I have been together. Living with and loving Teegan has been the highlight
of our lives.
Teegan, we love you more than we could ever express. Your passing has left
a void that will never be filled. From the bottom of our hearts - thank
you for sharing your life with us!
