San B's Wish upon a Star ( Winkie) MAD, JM, SM, RM, MX, MXJ

Hi ,

It's with a heavy heart I'm writing, to tell you that I lost Winkie to Lymphoma on Thursday night 9/3. We discovered it in June and since she was 14 yrs old, I opted not to put her through chemo treatments. I did only prednisone and she had 2 1/2 good months. No matter how prepared you think you are, it's still a shock. She was quite the ambassador for her breed. There were only 3 corgis doing agility initially - Kay Jackson w/Kate, Sharon Nelson w/Sunni & Wink. She was the 4th Corgi to earn her MAD and earned a top ten award in standard in 96. (Per Bud she was 11th in Snooker). She won the Colorado regional, and qualified multiple times every year through 2001. She placed 6th in Jumpers at the Nationals in San Antonio and earned several 3rds in strategic pairs Ventura & Ohio :) In Ventura at the Nationals she finished 7th in every other class...of course they only gave awards through 6th :)..... and she was 4th in the Veterans Nationals in 2001. Although she was missing 2 gamble legs for her ADCH ( she was great at being either .25 over time OR missing a point and doing the blasted gamble) she's a champion in my heart. Her joy on the course was always evident. How I miss my little fluff,
